- The climate in Nova Scotia is almost always moderate. It can very by a few degrees depending on where you are but there is no drastic change. People can enjoy their activities almost any day with the weather they have.
- Precipitation: Rain in quite common in Nova Scotia mainly because of it’s location on the ocean. It also receives big storms occasionally because of it’s location on the east coast.
- Ocean Currents: The ocean currents are pretty cold because Nova Scotia is located on the East Coast with the Atlantic Ocean
- Wind Directions: Again, being on the east coast provides colder wins than the provinces on the west coast.
- Distance From the Sea: Being on the coast the ocean cools and heats Nova Scotia differently than a province like Saskatchewan which do not have the ocean and receive colder winters and warmer summers. Nova Scotia maintains a pretty moderate temperature
- Altitude: Nova Scotia consists of mostly low lying rolling hills and so does not experience extreme coldness.
- Latitude: Nova Scotia is 45 degrees N of the equator and 63 degrees W of the Prime Meridian which means Nova Scotia is not hit with intense heat.
